Lantern House is a thoughtful renovation of a 30-year-old row house. At the core of the intervention, a tilted skylight is inserted at the center of the plan, allowing diffuse northern light to penetrate deep into the interior—illuminating both the second floor and the level below. The skylight replaces a former enclosed room where a loved one once passed, reframing a space of loss into one of openness and light. This architectural gesture not only transforms memory through spatial experience but also establishes a vertical connection to the sky, anchoring the home's emotional and physical renewal.
